Bounder

In Bounder, the player controls a tennis ball that constantly bounces on the screen.

The player has to move the ball around between two bounces so it lands on friendly areas like grass or the main hexagonal-patterned floor. If it lands hazardous areas like spikes and sand, or hits the enemies which move around, one of the seven lives the player starts with is lost. There are beneficial squares though - arrows which keep the ball in the air longer or teleports which clear part of the game.

The 174 screens are divided into 10 levels - at the end of each of these there's a bonus screen.

Sequel : Re-Bounder

Description from the packaging (US version):

Zapping bad guys is kids stuff. If that's all you can do then you may as well not show up at all. Any dodo can pick up a megawatt laser and punch holes in the green slimeballs heading your way.

Now life as a tennis ball is tough! We are talking real credibility here. Trying to bounce your way across a fiendishly planner course miles up in the air, with a long drop all around (and no off ramp) will sort out the flower arrangers from the linebackers fast!

Multi-level differentially scrolled action game which requires cunning and courage as you pilot Bounder across the tiles hounded by traps, tricks and human frailty. Play it only if you have a steady hand, fast mind and a sense of humor!
